Mahendra Singh Dhoni may enter politics after retirement from cricket and is likely to start his new career in team Narendra Modi.
Former central minister and BJP leader Sanjay Paswan told IANS that Dhoni can join the party and there has been a discussion on the issue for long.
He said. "On this issue, there has been a discussion for long, although this decision will be taken only after his retirement,"
He said."Dhoni is my friend, he is a player in the world fame and there have been discussions on bringing him into the party fold,"
Another BJP leader from Jharkhand said, "Dhoni has personal contact with many BJP leaders. If he joins the BJP, then there is no big deal. '
The elections in MS Dhoni's home state Jharkhand are scheduled to take place later this year. It is believed that MS Dhoni may even be the chief ministerial face of the BJP in the coming Jharkhand polls.

In Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah said that that he had met Dhoni before the Lok Sabha elections during the BJP's 'Contact for Support' campaign.

The wicketkeeper-batsman had an average World Cup, scoring a 50 in the semi-final loss, which is being probably considered his last World cup.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, singer Lata Mangeshkarurged cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni not not to retire from the international cricket.
