Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro to launch on sale in India on 17 July, and it will be available on Flipkart and Mi.com.
Now, the company has announced a pre-launch Alpha Sale for the Redmi K20 series ahead of the actual launch. This sale will begin on July 12 from 12 pm (Noon) on Flipkart and Mi.com both.
'pre-launch alpha sale'
It will enable users to reserve a unit for themselves before the actual sale start after July 17, by paying Rs 855 amount. Users who make a booking by paying Rs 855 amount will definitely be able to purchase the phone in the first cell.
Details of the first sale will be announced at the launch event.
If not redeemed
The coupon generated through this sale can be redeemed in the first sale for an assured unit purchase. If the coupon not redeemed, Rs 855 amount will be refunded back to the respective Mi.com account, while Flipkart users will be able to use the coupon for any other purchaseon the Flipkart platform.

Screen
The Redmi K20 Pro is lit by 6.39-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a full-screen display with no interruptions by any sort of notch. To deal with the front-facing camera situation, Redmi has fitted the smartphone with a motorised pop-up camera mechanism.
Pops up camera
It houses a 20MP camera which Xiaomi says pops up in 0.8 seconds. The selfie camera also has a sapphire lens coating making it wear and tear-resistant.
Megapixel
At the rear, the Redmi K20 Pro sports a triple-camera setup in a 48MP+13MP+8MP configuration. The the primary sensor is a Sony IMX486, whereas the 8MP and 13MP sensors are accompanied by a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens respectively.
Processor
For better gaming experience, the Redmi K20 Pro is the flagship Redmi phone as it is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor. Redmi K20 Pro features Game Turbo 2.0 and eight-layer liquid cooling. Game Turbo 2.0 optimises the phone for better audio and network connection while gaming.
Other
The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC support. The display also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Price
The Redmi K20 Pro starts at 2,499 Yuan (about ₹25,200) for the 6GB/64GB model. There are three more options—6GB/128GB option priced at 2,599 Yuan (about ₹26,200), 8GB/128GB priced at 2,799 Yuan (about ₹28,200) and 8GB/256GB variant at 2,999 Yuan (about ₹30,200).

The Redmi K20 shares its primary rear camera with the K20 Pro, a 48-megapixel camera but with a Sony IMX582 sensor. It offers the same 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone, however, supports a lower spec 18W fast charging.
Price
The Redmi K20 6GB/64GB version was launched in China for 1,999 Yuan (about ₹20,000) while the 6GB/128GB a variant was priced 2,099 Yuan (around ₹21,000).
